The Walking Stick Cosy Competition is now closed

The Knitted Walking Stick Cosy Competition second round didn't receive enough entries to base a competition around. Thanks to those of you who did send in entries; I will shortly be making a gallery to detail and celebrate your great work.

The Missability Radio Show

The Missability Radio Show has been very quiet since holding stalls at the Uk Stitch'n'Bitch day organised by I Knit London back in November 2007 and also showing work at Ovada's Nightfair before Christmas show in December. For the entire Christmas period the Knitted Walking Stick Cosies were displayed in the window of Rachael Matthews' haberdashery, Prick Your Finger.

The Missability Radio Show is now also featured among other exciting projects on The Social Design Site.

Additionally there is now an Etsy shop where you can buy button badges, prints, limited edition CDRs and other artists' ephemera. I am open to swapping these items with other artists too; if you are interested, get in touch via the contact page.

The Missability Radio Show has finally got an organised flickr page, so if your computer crashed everytime you tried to visit The Missability Process Photoset, the problem has now been fixed. The 1,000+ photos have been slimmed down to under 500, which should be OK for most broadband connections to handle.

The Missability Radio Show is still available for download!

About the show

The Missability Radio Show takes a fresh look at the design of disability related assistive technology. Promoting craft and DIY culture, knitting, conversing, customising, problem-solving and tea-drinking, The Missability Radio Show brings you articulate guest-speakers, practical tips for the satisfying personalisation of useful equipment, and plenty of entertaining, home-made audio joy!

The Missability Radio Show was designed, created, recorded and dreamt up by Felicity Ford who likes to be known as Felix. Sole inventor of this endeavour, Ms. Ford also maintains The Missability Radio Show website. Nobody pays Felix to do this so purchases from the Etsy shop directly support her work as an artist.
